VISION DEVICES (MIRROR - CAMERA) TEST SERVICES
As GCS TEST, we conduct type approval tests for indirect vision devices (mirrors, cameras, etc.) used in vehicles under European Union regulations.
It is required to provide legal test conditions for the products of the main vehicle manufacturers (OEM) and for the indirect or indirect vision devices (mirrors, cameras, etc.) used in the automotive sector under the European Union regulations.
We carry out tests with legal obligations for the products produced by producers and provide "E" type approval certification from European Union type approval bodies.
However, depending on the market and the functionality of the products you will sell your products, there may be different approval procedures, as well as some special requirements regarding the approval process, and R&D tests can be carried out.
As GCS, we perform the tests by choosing worse case first in order to reduce the number of tests according to the model variety of the product type. Thus, it is possible to collect different model variants together with less number of tests and cost under the same type approval.
Mirrors and cameras providing indirect vision on vehicles are also required to be tested according to type approval regulations. The mirrors are separated according to the following classes and subject to different test conditions:
- Interior rear view mirrors - Class I
- Main exterior rearview mirrors - Class II - III
- Wide angle outside rearview mirrors - Class IV
- Close vision - Class V
- Front view mirror - Class VI
As GCS, we can carry out these tests with our domestic and overseas accredited laboratories and submit the type approval according to the following regulation:
- Indirect Vision Devices, ECE R46
